Fire Drill
Last Week Thursday’s review.
Last week Thursday 31st October, 2019, students from various departments were assembled at the school’s car park for a fire drill training around 11:30am by the Ghana Fire Service. Fire drill is basically a practice of the emergency procedures to be used in case of fire.
One of the personnel’s took us through the theory aspect by explaining to us how to handle the fire extinguisher, its various parts, the safety measures to take in order to prevent fire outbreaks, the types of bulbs to use and how to know whether a bulb is dying out or not.
Later, the other personnel lighted a fire in a pan and demonstrated how to put it out with the extinguisher. Afterwards he made students try it out as well so they could get the experience. The link below is for more details on fire drill and some safety measures.
